Our mission is simple. To provide the outstanding care we would want to experience ourselves.
How? By combining patient-first care with the technology that enables us to offer it at scale. We want to provide a level of service unseen in the healthcare space – from improved outcomes to the most personal care. With offices in the heart of London and Berlin, our team of healthcare professionals, engineers and entrepreneurs works tirelessly to enable this.

How Medbelle works
Medbelle’s path to changing healthcare
In 2016, Medbelle’s founders, Daniel Kolb and Leander de Laporte wanted to leverage technology in a way that improves people’s lives. They believed that the strongest need for such change is in our healthcare system: While healthcare is incredibly important for every one of us, it is often still incredibly intransparent, inefficient and often just a bad experience for patients.
When they looked closer into the healthcare space, they wondered whether it would be possible to completely rebuild hospital care with technology to shift its focus closer to the patient - and this is how Medbelle was born. Setting up the first digital hospital required many of the sharpest minds to contribute to everything from the legal setup to really understanding patients and exploring operational processes to get things up and running. We were also lucky to be supported by some of the UK’s finest surgeons from the very beginning.
Still in the first year, we have helped our first patient. To this day our main meeting room is still named after her. Renowned healthcare and technology investors soon came on board to support Medbelle’s mission. Having the resources to help patients on a much greater scale was fantastic but, more importantly, we were joined by people who have already successfully improved millions of lives with technology.
Having started with a focus on self-pay cosmetic surgery, we, step-by-step, have improved our surgeon and hospital network, our patient care and our technology to become what we believe to be the best service in the market. In 2018, we started to also provide bariatric and eye surgery in Central London. In 2019, we started expanding into orthopaedics and are now also able to support patients covered by private medical insurance.
We are proud of these milestones. Our team and our partners have improved the lives of thousands of happy patients and our outstanding Net Promoter Score of 92 and our incredible Trustpilot reviews are a testament to this. But they are all just one part of our vision to become the world’s go-to service for specialist medical care. One happy patient at a time.
